Fire Cider

Ingredients:

Apple Cider Vinegar (with the mother)

1/4 cup Turmeric
1/4 cup Horseradish Root
3 Cinnamon sticks
6 Cloves
15 Black peppercorns
3-4 Hot peppers of choice (depending on how hot you want it)
1/3 Lemon
1 bulb Garlic
1/2 cup Honey
2 springs Rosemary
2 sprigs Thyme
1/2 Onion
1 bunch Nettle (be careful not to handle without gloves or tongs if using fresh nettle…it stings!)

Fill one quart jar with all of the dry ingredients, add the honey, fill with ACV to the rim. Seal and give it a good shake. Store in a cool, dry place, away from the sun, and in about a month your fire cider will be ready to use! I like to give mine a little shake every week or so. My family will take “shots” of this if we’re starting to feel under the weather. We’ve also used it as marinade and on top of salads for a spicy kick! The ingredients can be modified as needed due to allergies or ingredient availability. Additionally, I don’t actually measure any of the ingredients when I’m making this recipe, so don’t stress over that! I just add until it seems right to me. I hope you love it! Cheers!
